這訴說人民期盼以久的希望、戰爭之下生離死別的殘酷、有父母的愛、有慈悲的愛
有革命同志之間的情，也有男女之間的愛
雖然柯賽特是主角。
但是這首曲子所綻放的光芒，足以照亮當時的一切
艾潘尼一直喜歡著與她一起長大的好朋友 馬利奧但馬利奧一直沒有察覺，他們之間就是非常好的朋友。
但是馬利奧愛上了柯賽特。
在柯賽特小的時候，她的媽媽是一個酒女賣笑為生。
她在死前把小柯賽特給尚萬強養育
說到尚萬強，曾因為20元的麵包入了冤獄，但因為逃獄，使得警察在追捕他
為了生活，他拿了神父的家財，但神父卻送給他，他對神父完全的懺悔
但他必須變裝，後來成為了真正慈悲、樂於助人的市長。
在一次艾潘尼與馬利奧爬上圍牆偷看尚萬強家庭園的時候。馬利奧馬上一見鍾情柯賽特。
但是艾潘尼看在心裡，卻答應要幫他追到柯賽特。
馬利奧與柯賽特成功的墜入情網，而艾潘尼也默默的聽著他們倆唱著愛之歌。
獨自一個人的承受孤獨，當時是戰亂的夜晚，夜也深
沒有人聲鼎沸幫她掩蓋她寂寞的呼喚，也沒有車水馬龍的隱藏他獨自的身影
如常的安靜無聲，艾潘尼要幫柯賽特送信給馬利奧，
在見馬利奧之前，在靜悄的夜道上
唱出他對馬利奧的思慕之情。
